English Willow Bats Description:

Edge Profile:
A wide edge profile rises from the shoulders and peaks at the sweet spot, resulting in supreme balance and a sweet spot that spans the whole blade width.
Pinterest profile:
Because of its high spine and broad edges, this bat has a large hitting area.

Sweet spot:
The sweet spot in the blade is where performance is at its peak. DGE English Willow bats are designed to maximise the size of the sweet spot by spreading the middle of the blade wider across the blade, allowing for superior off-centre performance.

Bow:
The curvature of the bat from the handle’s tip to the toe’s end is known as the bow. Designed to improve hand position by putting them ahead of the ball, which is critical for excellent stroke play.

Bat Care:
While these English willow bats are made to a high standard, players must take care of the bat before and after each use. The proper lubrication of a fresh new cricket bat is critical. Oiling with bat oil is recommended (Linseed Oil). Apply two coats of Bat oiling and let it dry for 24 hours. Keep extra oil on the bat’s toe and edge. The importance of knocking after oiling cannot be overstated. To knock the bat, use a wooden mallet. Begin with a light strike to the toe and edges of the bat. Depending on the wood surface, you can adjust the impact of the mallet. The procedure of knocking should take at least 48 hours.
